DIY doily shorts

Stay stylish without going broke by giving new life to old jeans. High-waisted momjeans from the thrift shop can be gorgeous with a little bit of work

There's countless things you can do to doctor up your old denim. In the pair above, jeans were first marked with chalk at the desired length. The legs of the jeans were then cut, then a seam was stitched a half inch from the bottom edge of each leg of the shorts. The edges were then frayed by hand. Next, a large doily was cut in half and pinned down to the leg. Be sure to line up the center of the doily with the seam on the outside of the leg. next, stitch the doily securely to the leg. The green lines in the photo below mark where i sewed


 These shorts are a quick&easy way to make yourself some cute new clothes
